ICS Côte d'Azur accepts students into our 2-year-old Kindergarten class, then KG1 (Nursery) to PY6 (Year 6). We have a January-December admissions policy, meaning a child can join us the year they turn 2. For the academic year 2026-2027, that means all children born in 2024 can join the 2-year-old class, and 2023 for KG1.

Yes we do. If a space is available in the class requested, students can join ICS throughout the year. Please contact our admissions team to find out more. 

The admissions process begins with the submission of an application. For Primary entry, we contact the child’s previous school to request a confidential recommendation and we then offer taster days in person or online meetings to assess academic and language skills. Early Years students are invited to experience the school as well.

The Head of School or Head of Early Years then reviews the application dossier before we inform the family of the outcome, ensuring every child is placed in the right environment to thrive in our bilingual, international community.

At ICS Côte d’Azur, our bilingual programme follows a 50:50 French-English curriculum. All subjects, including maths and literacy, meet or exceed national standards, while teaching is guided by the IB Primary Years Programme framework to develop inquiry, critical thinking, and international-mindedness.

Our private bilingual school offers a language support programme for French as a Foreign Language (FLE) learners and English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners from PY3 to PY6.

These support lessons for beginners assist acquisition in either language, bringing them the linguistic competence required to access the curriculum and progress confidently.

As a bilingual school, we offer French and English as part of the curriculum.

During after-school activities with our partner Riviera Kids, we currently offer Spanish and Russian.

Whether a family continues to reside in France or relocate abroad, graduates of ICS Côte d’Azur International School have the opportunity to join a wide range of schools with a variety of curricula.

Our graduates may go on to access post-primary French schools offering the national curriculum or international schools in France and across the world with instruction in French, English or both languages.

A personalised consultation is offered with the family by the Head of School when students enter PY5 to help them plan for the future.

The International School of Nice (ISN), an IB World School in Nice, and Mougins School, an International British School, are proud members of Globeducate. Our graduates often apply to join either school. Students at ICS have priority placement at both schools. You can contact their Admissions Teams via their websites.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, children attend early years classes between 8:15 and 15:45.

As is traditional in France, attendance is not mandatory on Wednesdays for 2-year-old KG and KG1 students; however, our teachers provide a half-day programme between 8:15 and 12:00 that the majority of KG1 students attend. Please note that lunch is not provided on Wednesdays.

We offer a part-time schedule for our 2-year-old Kindergarten class, subject to availability.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, children attend primary years classes between 8:15 and 15:45.

Primary students attend school for a half-day, between 8:15 and 12:00, Wednesdays. Please note that lunch is not provided on Wednesdays.

ICS Côte d’Azur is officially recognised by the French authorities as an “école hors contrat”. The school is also a proud member of Globeducate and an accredited IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) school, ensuring high international educational standards.

The ICS Côte d’Azur campus is a modern, safe, and welcoming environment, surrounded by nature.

Early Years Centre: Our 2-year-old Kindergarten class, KG1 and KG2 have their own dedicated space, with classrooms, a nap room, and a playground, designed for young learners to explore and grow in a nurturing environment.

Primary School: Primary students benefit from flexible classrooms, a STEAM Hub, library, FLE and EAL classrooms, and a sports pitch, providing hands-on learning opportunities across subjects while encouraging creativity, inquiry, and wellbeing.

Riviera Kids, an external provider, offers after-school childcare for children from the age of 3 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 15:45 to 18:00 (12:00 to 18:00 on Wednesdays).

Please note there is limited availability for our 2-year-old kindergarten class, and children must be potty trained to attend childcare after school.

All students are expected to wear the ICS school uniform, which also includes a sport's kit.

The ICS reception team manage all communications and organisation between families and the school.

Early Years (preschool) students may bring two healthy snacks for mid-morning and afternoon break.

Primary school children may bring one healthy snack for the afternoon break.

All children may bring a refillable water bottle to school.

At lunchtimes, excluding Wednesdays, all students benefit from a nutritious hot meal served in our school canteen.

Please note that due to allergies, we are a nut-free school.

Yes, we have a car park on campus for parents and carers to drop off and collect the child.

We share a calendar with our parents that closely follows the French zone B holidays.

No, we do not offer a school bus service.
