The school was founded in 2006 as EBICA Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte d’Azur (Côte d’Azur Bilingual International School).

Located in the Sophia Antipolis technology park in Valbonne, EBICA was established for local and expatriate families seeking a bilingual international school on the French Riviera.

In 2018, the Globeducate group signed a partnership agreement to manage the school and its development strategy. In the same year, the IB organisation authorised the implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

In 2020, the name of the school changed with the launch of ICS Côte d’Azur for students ages three to 11 years. ICS schools originated in 1979 with the opening of International Community School (ICS) in Central London. Together with the ICS schools in Paris, Milan and Nice, the Globeducate group is establishing a leading presence with these IB World Schools across Europe.

2006

In 2006, EBICA Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte d’Azur (Côte d’Azur Bilingual International School) was established for local and expatriate families seeking a bilingual international school near Nice on the azure coast of France in Europe.

2018In 2018, Globeducate, a leading provider of early-childhood through post-secondary international education, signed a partnership agreement to manage the school and its development strategy.

The International Baccalaureate organisation authorised the implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), recognising ICS Côte d’Azur as an IB World School.

2020In 2020, the name of the school changed with the launch of ICS Côte d’Azur International School for students ages three to 11 years.

2021In 2021, the school opened dedicated facility for innovative STEAM education called The Hub.

2022ICS Côte d'Azur was recognised with two awards for exceptional achievement at the Globeducate Leadership Conference:  Regional School of the Year for France 2022 and Globeducate School of the Year 2022.
