Our ICS Community: Wei An - Early Years Supervisor

Meet Wei An! Wei An joined us last year as a supervisor and she is greatly appreciated by students, parents and staff for her brilliant smile and the care and attention she gives to all the Early Years children.

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your background

Hello, I am Wei An. I am the Early Years supervisor here at ICS, working with students in KG1, KG2 and PY1. I help families cross the road in the morning and afternoon, and I also supervise lunch and break times in the Early Childhood Centre. 

I was born in Hong Kong and I moved to France 9 years ago for the same reason as many... love! My husband is French. Additionally, I speak Cantonese, Chinese, English and French.

What do you love about ICS?

I love working with the children, especially the younger ones, they are so sweet. I also really appreciate the ICS teachers and staff. They are kind, helpful, and there is always someone to support you.

What do you think makes ICS special for students?

I think it is wonderful that the school has a bilingual programme, and that the children come from so many different nationalities and cultures. The mix is amazing for them: they grow up surrounded by such interesting peers.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I never hiked when I lived in Hong Kong but now I love hiking here in the Alpes-Maritimes! I also play piano and I've gotten into gardening. Sometimes I miss city life in Hong Kong, and of course I miss my friends and family, but I go back every summer to see them with my children.
