What is a Celebration of Learning in Primary?

At ICS Côte d’Azur, a Celebration of Learning is one of the most special events in the Primary Years. Each class from PY2 to PY6 takes part in this annual celebration, inviting parents to see firsthand the incredible progress their children have made throughout the year.

A Celebration of Learning is more than just an exhibition of work—it’s an opportunity for students to share their learning in a bilingual environment, reflecting the school’s commitment to English and French fluency. Children proudly showcase projects, artwork, and presentations, giving parents insight into how they are developing academically, creatively, and socially.

Parents don’t just observe—they actively participate in workshops led by the students. From literacy exercises to engaging maths challenges, these workshops allow children to take on the role of teacher, demonstrating their skills and confidence while fostering a collaborative classroom atmosphere. This hands-on involvement helps parents feel connected to their child’s learning journey and strengthens the sense of community within the school.

For students, a Celebration of Learning is a chance to reflect on their achievements and take pride in their work. It also encourages bilingual communication, as children present their learning in both English and French, building confidence in expressing ideas across languages.

Ultimately, the Celebration of Learning embodies the ICS difference. It’s a joyful, interactive, and bilingual experience where students shine, parents are engaged, and the vibrant learning culture of the Primary Years comes to life.
