The atmosphere was electric during ICS' sports-themed End of Year Show on June 14th. Students from all classes participated with two song and dance routines, celebrating a fantastic year at school and the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
PY6 students opened the show by walking through the crowd to the sound of Chariots of Fire, carrying the Olympic flame aloft. They then performed a spectacular song and dance routine to Le Coach by Soprano, warming up the crowd with their aerobics-themed routine.
The other classes followed with routines filled with style and flair to songs such as Katy Perry's Firework, the theme from Space Jam, Je Fais du Sport by Gauthier Galand and Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling amongst many others.
Benefits of performances such as these are numerous, including developing confidence and self-esteem, teamwork and cooperation skills, discipline and focus, and self expression.
Gina Bianchi, Head of School shares: "Our students' performances were nothing short of spectacular, and we couldn't be prouder. Events like these are crucial for helping children gain confidence and feel proud of their accomplishments."
A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers and assistants for their tireless efforts in rehearsing with the children, and for all the staff who helped with the music, stage setup, decorations, and every other detail that made the event unforgettable. Your commitment made this celebration truly special!
