Globeducate Energy Campaign: 7 Changes over 7 Days
Jennifer Wallace
Small changes can make a big difference!

To raise awareness on our energy consumption and to encourage students and their families to modify their daily habits, Globeducate launched a '7 Changes over 7 Days' campaign across all schools with top tips on how to reduce our carbon footprint.

At ICS Côte d'Azur, our Eco Warriors in PY5 and PY6, led by PY5 and FLE teacher Gabrielle, introduced the campaign to their fellow students during lunch time and announced that classes could participate and gain eco points by:
  • Setting their heaters at a maximum of 20 degrees
  • Closing doors and windows to conserve heat
  • Switching off the lights when possible
  • Unplugging devices when fully charged
  • Limiting screen time, and taking learning outdoors

This was quite the test of commitment during the coldest week of the year so far! Our Eco Warriors checked in on classes to see how they were doing.

Preparing each student to become a global citizen who can shape the world is put to the test in no better way at the moment than with the pressing global need to reduce energy consumption at school and at home.
