ICS Basketball Teams Take Silver in the French Riviera International League
Jennifer Wallace

Our ICS students proudly represented the school at the French Riviera International Schools League Tournament, competing against Mougins, ISN, and ISM in a full day of exciting matches.
We’re thrilled to share that both our girls' and boys' teams finished in second place — an outstanding result, especially as many of our students were playing together in a tournament for the first time!
The girls’ team, led by captains Calliope and Mila, showed strong teamwork and determination throughout the day.
The boys’ team, captained by Julian and Robert, impressed with their energy and focus on the field.
Our top scorers were Osman, Robert, and Chandler, who helped drive the team’s success.
Some reflections from the team:
- Mila: “I’m so proud of the team and of myself.”
- Osman: “We played so well, it was amazing, we were the best!”
- Ms Nicky: “We were the… second best.”
- Calliope: “Being team captain meant that I had to lead my team and make sure we had a good attitude. It’s amazing we came second because we had never played together as a team before in a tournament. I also think my vice-captain Mila was excellent and we worked really well together.”
Beyond the scores, what stood out most was the sportsmanship, fair play, and positivity displayed by our students. Coaches from other schools took the time to share how impressed they were by the attitude of our ICS teams — a true reflection of our values on and off the field.
Well done to all our players and thank you to Ms Nicky and Ms Janet — ICS can be proud!
