ICS is delighted to welcome Candice Urman to our Early Years Team from September. Candice is a French teachers with experience across the globe and joins us from our Globeducate sister school EIB Grenelle in Paris.
Candice shares with us:
Hello !
My name is Candice and I'll be teaching French in the Early Years at ICS for the 2024-2025 school year.
I spent the first fifteen years of my life in Paris before moving to the east coast of the United States to attend an American high school. I then moved to Canada for graduate studies at Concordia University, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I taught kindergarten and elementary in various bilingual schools in Montreal. I then taught in Seville, Spain, at the IB Colegio Internacional de Sevilla San Francisco de Paula International School. I was also a member of the school's pedagogical council, where I was able to accompany students from 5 to 18 years of age.
Three years ago, I decided to move back to Paris to work at the École Internationale Bilingue EIB Grenelle and, at the same time, to be closer to my family. After three wonderful years at this Globeducate school, I'm now ready to move to the sunshine and join the ICS Côte d'Azur team.
My professional experiences have enabled me to explore four different learning methods and to develop my own pedagogical approach. In addition, having an autistic brother, I am convinced that it is essential to take into account the specific needs of each student. In the classroom, I make every effort to give individual attention and support to all students.
When I'm not at school, you'll find me reading, traveling... or eating!
I look forward to living this adventure with you and meeting you all.
