ICS Community Welcome: Lizzie Thompson

ICS is delighted to welcome Lizzie Thompson to our Primary School team. Lizzie has lived and worked in the UK, Spain, Peru and France and has a love of reading and writing. 

Lizzie shares with us:

My name is Lizzie and I am from the north of England. After qualifying as a teacher in Manchester, I traded the rain for sunshine and moved to the south of France. I have spent the past three years working in an international school here and getting to know the area.

I have been lucky to also have the opportunity to teach in schools in Spain and Peru. Living and working in different countries has given me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and approaches to education.

I am thrilled to join ICS and be part of a bilingual primary school that puts children at the centre of their learning through the PYP programme. I firmly believe that learning should be exciting, engaging, and full of wonder! I am eager to help my pupils discover their own passions and potential.

Literacy is a particular passion of mine—I love reading and writing in all forms and believe in the power of stories to spark creativity and imagination. I am excited to share this love with my pupils and create a classroom where language comes alive in playful, inspiring, and meaningful ways.
