Special Focus on Eco Week 2026
Jennifer Wallace
This year, Eco-Weeks have seamlessly integrated into our current PYP unit, "Sharing the Planet." Throughout this period, students are exploring the vital connections between humans, animals, and the environment.

To brighten our school environment, students have been engaging in various gardening activities designed to enhance our playgrounds and encourage local biodiversity. In the classroom, PY4 and PY5 participated in specialised STEAM workshops, where they engineered solutions for renewable energy and experimented with water filtration systems.
Meanwhile, our PY6 students are hard at work preparing for the upcoming PYP Exhibition, which will take place on April 7th and 8th. This event serves as the culmination of their primary years, showcasing their in-depth research into global issues and their commitment to making a positive impact.
Eco-Week isn't just a one-off series of events in Globeducate schools; it's a concerted effort to cultivate eco-awareness and conservation within our school communities. Building on our strong culture of sustainability education and our Eco-Schools work, students have the opportunity to spend this week reflecting on how to become stewards of the environment and champions of sustainability.
