Launching STEAM Club 2024!

What is STEAM Club?
We are thrilled to announce the return of our STEAM Club for PY3-6. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This club is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore and engage in hands-on learning experiences that integrate these subjects. Through various activities, projects, and experiments, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. 

STEAM Club meets 2x a month either on Week A or B. The Club is held during recreation time after lunch and there are a few spaces still available for any students still wishing to sign up.

Celebrations from the Week:

Our first STEAM club activity had a winter theme. Students focused on designing snowflakes and then testing their falling speed. Students had a blast exploring different shapes and patterns for their snowflakes, and they were amazed to observe how the structure affected the speed. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by our students! 

We asked some students why they joined STEAM club:

Winnie: “I joined STEAM Club because it includes art and I love art.”
Louis: “I joined because we create stuff.”
Bianca: “I have fun making things.”
Darya: ”It’s fun to be with my friends and making things”.
Gabriel: “STEAM helps me learn new things.”
