The 2025 PYP Exhibition: Our PY6 Class Shines with Passion, Purpose, and Pride

At ICS Côte d’Azur, the annual PYP Exhibition stands as a highlight of the school year — a powerful and inspiring celebration of learning, growth, and the boundless potential of young minds. This year’s theme, Sharing the Planet, provided a meaningful and timely lens through which our PY6 students explored real-world issues and imagined creative solutions for a more sustainable, equitable future.

The exhibition is more than just a project; it represents the culmination of the entire Primary Years Programme — a moment where students step fully into the roles of inquirers, researchers, and change-makers. It was a true pleasure to witness our students proudly standing behind their vibrant, thoughtfully decorated stands, ready to share their months of hard work and passionate ideas with the wider community in French and in English depending on the preference of the audience.

Our PY6 students presented their findings and proposals with confidence and care, thoughtfully adapting their presentations for younger students from KG1 to PY5. This peer-to-peer sharing not only sparked curiosity but also inspired future cohorts.

Later, with equal pride — and a bit more nervous energy — they welcomed their parents and guided them through their projects. It wasn’t just about presenting what they had learned; it was a powerful demonstration of how much they had grown. Seeing the smiles on their faces, and how proud they were to share their work, was truly heartwarming.

Parents, too, were filled with pride as they watched their children explain their research and ideas. They saw not just knowledge, but maturity — the courage it took to speak publicly, the creativity behind each display, and the joy that came from making the experience their own.

Their teachers, Ms. Barbara and Ms. Céline had nothing but praise for the PY6 students and the work they accomplished.

Céline shared:

“It was a great pleasure and very emotional to see our PY6 students present their project to their parents! A lot of emotion and pride to witness the result of their work and commitment over the past several weeks. A beautiful, successful, and accomplished project — I am very proud of them, of their work, and of who they are.

This exhibition, as a major project of the year, allowed them to overcome challenges, conduct in-depth research, step out of their usual framework, push themselves, and learn to speak in front of a varied audience — students of different ages and parents. They were wonderful to see, each one at their presentation stand, carefully set up, happy to be there and to show everything they had prepared!

Another truly great experience shared with you! Well done, children!”

The ideas on display were nothing short of inspiring. Each project reflected a deep sense of responsibility and hope, showing that our students understand not only the challenges our world faces, but also the power they have to make a difference.

The PYP Exhibition reminds us all of the strength of young voices and the importance of nurturing global citizens.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Barbara and Ms. Céline for guiding the students with such care and dedication, and to Ms. Janet and Ms. Gabrielle for their incredible support behind the scenes. Your efforts made this exhibition a true success.

This was a celebration of knowledge, compassion, and action — and a beautiful example of what can happen when we empower children to shape the future.

Filled with emotion and pride, this first and final exhibition for our PY6 students marked a transformative milestone  — one that helped them grow in remarkable ways, in such a short span of time.

They are now ready to take on secondary school !
