World Mental Health Day at ICS
World Mental Health Day at ICS
Emna Metoui
At ICS, we deeply value the mental well-being of our students. A healthy mind leads to increased concentration, motivation, and overall happiness. It empowers students to thrive academically and personally. It also enhances resiliency, coping skills and fosters positive relationships.
For several years now, our Safeguarding person, has been supporting our students by providing them with a safe space to express their thoughts, emotions, and concerns confidentially. She is here to listen and support. We encourage our students to reach out to teachers, staff, or peers whenever they need a helping hand. We want them to know that we are always here to lend an ear!
Last week, our PY6 students took meaningful steps towards prioritizing their mental health by creating balanced meals and engaging in a 10-minute full-body workout.
This week, to mark World Mental Health Day, they delved into coping strategies and learned how to select the ones that resonate with them during times of stress or worry.
Emphasizing the significance of mental health awareness and equipping our students with valuable tools to nurture their mental well-being is at the heart of our mission. By breaking down the barriers surrounding mental health discussions and fostering a caring environment where every individual feels empowered in their learning journey, we are confident that we are making a positive impact on their overall well-being.
We will continue promoting mental well-being and health to foster a supportive, inclusive and mindfull environment where our students can flourish.
