OUR BILINGUAL SCHOOL
ICS Côte d’Azur is a bilingual primary school that provides an international curriculum with instruction in French and English.
Formerly known as EBICA, we are a private, co-educational day school, catering to families seeking a bilingual international school for their child on the Côte d’Azur (azure coast) of France. We welcome children ages three to 11 years for their early years and primary education.
Our multicultural learning community enjoys a modern and secure campus in Sophia Antipolis, Valbonne, southwest of Nice. Sophia Antipolis is Europe’s first technology park, home to highly reputable universities, global companies and high-tech enterprises.
Recognised as an IB World School since 2018, ICS Côte d’Azur is accredited and authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) organisation to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
At our international primary school, we welcome students from around the world, offering them an international education within the inquiry-based framework of the IB Primary Years Programme that integrates both the national curriculum for France and the national curriculum for England. This broadens our students' horizons.
ICS Côte d’Azur is a proud member of Globeducate.
Why join our bilingual international School ?
The school was founded in beautiful Valbonne near Nice and, from the first day, creative energy and an exceptionally welcoming family atmosphere have characterised our school.
For more than a decade, our bilingual international school has attracted local and international families, from Mandelieu-la-Napoule to Nice, across the Mediterranean coastline of south-eastern France. At ICS Côte d’Azur, we foster a student-centred approach to learning, within a welcoming and caring environment.
The school has a proven presence as one of the leading schools in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Numerous parents renew their confidence in us each year, and we now cater to families representing more than 30 nationalities.
Although we are conveniently connected to major transport routes, our students benefit from a peaceful and natural outdoor environment.
Our primary is surrounded by nature, encircled by 1,500 hectares of pine trees, forest parks and green spaces, a favourable setting for our children to connect, learn and play.
The landscaped outdoor areas and pleasantly mild climate of the region also favour learning in a natural environment throughout the year.
The school is located fewer than 30 minutes from the international Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, north-west of the resort town of Antibes and within easy access of the A8 motorway.
We are one of only a few fully bilingual IB World Schools in the region. We also offer a tailored language support programme for beginners in both languages from PY3.
Our bilingual school in Valbonne attracts internationally-minded families with aspirations for their children to learn in French and English from the early years onwards. Within our multicultural community, students are immersed in both languages with equal measure, in an environment that promotes international understanding while fostering an appreciation of French culture.
ICS Côte d'Azur offers a language support programme for French as a foreign language (FFL) learners and English as a foreign language (EFL) learners from PY3 to PY6. These support lessons for beginners assist acquisition in either language, bringing them the linguistic competencies required to access the curriculum and progress with confidence.
Through learner-centred teaching, we empower students, as agents in their IB journey, to develop the self-knowledge and confidence to create their successes.
In an environment that fosters cross-cultural understanding, students at our private bilingual school develop the attributes of the IB learner profile, which equips them with the essential skills to be successful in a diverse and connected world.
At ICS Côte d’Azur, we take a student-centred approach to learning, carefully considering each student’s unique learning needs.
